I have a question, I am a 34 year old male. I have had approximately 6 jobs since 2000. When I was 17 years old, I was convicted of drug Felony (MJ) with intent to sell. It was my first and only major mistake I made in my entire life. I have been kicking myself in the ass ever since because I always wanted to be a Police Officer. Sorry for the digression. I was placed on probation and upon completion of my probation, the record was "Sealed". prior to the conviction, I probably smoke MJ about a dozen times. After the conviction 1992, I have not smoke MJ again althought about 5 years ago, i tried cocaine about 4 times, pointless drug. Late experimentation I guess. As an adult, when I was 24 I received an open container ticket on a state beach. While I was not drinking beer on the beach, a group of friends who were drinking place their beers in my car because they saw the park ranger coming. Never the else, since the vehicle was mine, I received the ticket. Lastly, in 2004 I experience an awful divorce and became very depressed. I over endulged in Alcohol on night and started acting strange. My roommate at the time was concerned be cause I passed out in the tub and he thought I was attempted to commit suicide by drowning myself. He contact the Police who admitted me to a local hospital when I was place on a 3 day 5150 hold. I was released after being deemed psychologically fine. I never had any type of mental issue prior to this incident nor to I have any now. I have a great family and life is pretty great except for being layed off my my last job when leads me to my final situation. Due to the market I can not find another organization to work for who will pay me the same amount I was paid before. I have been a successful sales representative for many years. I have several outstanding recommendations in my career. While I am employed, the move was financially unilateral. Therefore, my wife and I are going to file BK and are facing foreclosure. My friend is who a Police Officer suggested that I join the department. I am attending a private university where I am working on my undergrad in Psychology. I am afraid that my background is going to haunt me. Any feed back is greatly appreciated. Correction, I have had 6 jobs since 1994, not sure what I was think when I said 2000.
